Question about ebay mix up

Just thought of one more question.

I bought a Yogi Berra card off of ebay and the seller sent me the wrong Berra card. He sent the card I bought to another buyer, and the other buyer's card to me. He's now asking me to send him the card back so that he can fix his mistake. He says he'll reimburse me for the shipping.

I'm hesitant to mail him the card back without any guarantees and just trust his word, but maybe I should. He is an ebay power seller with a 100% feedback rating.

Any thoughts?

    Your emails should protect you with paypal, but you will need proof of delivery in case he hoses you.

    I accidentally did the exact same thing...I am sure he isnt trying to scam you...even more sure if he has high feedback and 100% positive rating!

    If it is a regular seller with decent feedback send it back.

    Looks like he made a human error and just wants to make it right.

    I would send it back, and once I got the card I paid for, I would leave him a positive feedback.
