What does this PSA grade mean?

Hi,
I should pry know this but what does it mean when a card is returned from PSA saying "NOHOLDER"?

1) It's an obsured size that doesn't fit in any of their holders.

2) They ran out of holders.

The card was a 1887 Allen & Ginter
They should have had a holder for that...

I'd call them up and ask why if it hasn't been shipped yet.
Yes, they should have holders for those.

I'm pretty sure that PSA only slabs the 1888 A&Gs and that the 1887 A&G is considered an OBSCURE issue.

Is your card a non-sport card by chance?

The only 1887 A&G that I could find that PSA currently grades that might possibly contain your card is the 1887 N28 Allen & Ginter Multi-Sport.

If it's not listed there, it must be an obsure issue.
