OT: new computer - need help...

Just bought a new Dell Running Vista. Also got the 24 in widescreen HD monitor. I have everything up and working great. I am having 1 problem though...
When I view photos - on ebay for example - the pics look short and fat. I have the same problem when im viewing photos of cards im scanning. Im going to include a pic here..
to me this card shows a bit short and fat (wider)...
any idea how I can fix this? I tried messing with the resolution and thats not the problem

Looks tall and skinny to me. What are the dimensions of the monitor and what resolution are you currently set at?

The pic looks about right, to me.

Sounds like the monitor might need a little adjustment.

Cards looks fine to me size ratio wise.

1280 x 1024 is not widescreen. I would suspect that is the problem.

the native resolution for a 24in widescreen is 1920 X 1200
