Have you ever seen a legit Michael Jordan auto like this? Huggins and Scott Auction

I was interested in this lot and thought I might get it cheap, but I could not find the Jordan and Woods signatures that were beside each other. I emailed and asked and they added this picture to the item. Never seen a Jordan auto that sloppy.

By the way it says James Spence Authenticated it.

I've not seen a MJ auto that sloppy either, but it does not mean it is not real. I can tell you that I've bought and sold some baseballs that were authenticated by James Spence and had no problem selling them. No one that I showed them to questioned the authenticity.

  • did we get an answer on this one?

An answer? I am leaning toward the idea that it is an authentic signature of a golfer and not Michael Jordan. I have never seen a Jordan auto with all the extra loops and swirls. I have been trying to find a nice Jordan Woods dual piece, but I have zero interest in this one.

  • Does it have a JSA sticker and COA? Or does it come with a JSA LOA?

auction loa's aren't reliable at all, items are too easily switched out, it's a big game lately on eBay (people selling auto's with 'auction' loa's), psa/dna, jsa, it doesn't matter, don't buy anything with a auction loa unless you are the one buying it directly from the auction house, could you post a pic of the loa for us?
  • AllenAllen Posts: 7,165 ✭✭✭
This item is from the auction house who issued the LOA.

Ah I get it, I would still ask for the JSA LOA. That will show that 1) there actually is one 2) The letter is specific to this auction and is dated accordingly (therefore not a generic recycled LOA), I would also ask if you get a photocopy LOA or the original (as many people that partner LOA's for the wrong items tend to send photo copies). Personally, I would steer clear and look for a bargain elsewhere.
