Raines registry gem

I was ashamed for being willing to spend up to $40 on this card. Is there a subculture of Raines fans that I am unaware of?!??

If I thought the 2nd, 3rd and 4th PSA 10s of this card would fetch similar prices, I might actually buy some of these factory sets (which are like $5 a piece and contain approximately 400 PSA 10 worthy cards per box). Actually, 1988 Score PSA 10s can be super tough to find...but for no other reason than no one really bothers to get them graded.

I don't know about the Rock subculture, but I do know 1988 Score's can be tough 10's.
  • I have a box of 88 Score in the closet. Think I may be busting some junk wax tonight.
  • Ugly 10....1988 Score is tough for 10's but the only person subbing those are the bulk dealers....that's a good thing for consumers and dealers...bad for the person that buys it IF it's an investment...

Who is Roger? He has a Lombardozzi 1988 Topps I was interested in, and I noticed that we both live in Bmore.

Either a person building a REGISTRY SET or someone who thinks THE ROCK will be in the HOF soon. If it's the HOF, I agree .

Mudflap, Roger is Rogermnj on these boards, and if your building a player set or looking for some hard to find PSA graded card, Roger is your man. AWESOME seller, I cant say enough positive about him.

I agree. Roger is one of the better ones.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
  • I just realized who started this thread. I'm about to dig through a 3000 count box of 1987 Topps looking for Eric Davis.
  • I have noticed that a lot of Tim Raines PSA 10's are going for a premium. Is supply drying up or are people just to lazy to get them graded?

    NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • suddenly im in the mood for soup.
  • Collectors aren't willing to shell out $10+ per box with the hope of pulling a grade worthy Raines, then another $10+ to get it graded. They can save the time, effort and money by buying them up at $10+. Again, it's a win for the graded card bulk dealers.

    HI,
    Thanks for the kind words.

88 score is a lot tougher then you think and submitting becomes problematic when 9s are worth $0.00

This acct is one my subsidiaries stationed in Marylandimage

    I am from NJ.
