1983 Topps Sticker *Box Break!*

100 packs.... just for fun! these were mentioned a week or 2 back, so i bought a box on Ebay and they finally arrived today. Not sure if i got a complete set, 600 stickers, maybe 325 in the set? I do have lots of Bruce Sutters lol.
It was nice to pull out multiple boggs, sandberg and Ripkins! (2 poses) plus the old timers, HOF'ers, gold bordered all stars are neat. there is also one giant Rickey henderson sticker that you need all the pieces to see. I counted 4 dale murpheys and 2 different yaz ones (2 of my fave players) the sticker packs basically fell apart when i touched them;

If I bought some of those, I'd have to peel them , stick them all over myself and go out for a jog.
<< <i>If I bought a bunch of these, my kids would be redecorating the house... >>
Try buying three boxes of '83 Fleer Stamps when you have a two year old and a five year old on the prowl. I'm still staring at Bruce Benedict's visage every time I take a seat on the crapper (he was thoughtfully stuck on the back of the bathroom door), and I busted those three boxes in July.

Boo, you talking about the 1982 Fleer stamps that came in strips of 10? I don't remember any 83's. In any case, good stuff. Better Bruce Benedict than Willie McGee.
<< <i>I bought those as a kid (15 years old at the time) and i only got about 1/2 of my book filled. When I find it, I'd love to buy the singles I need or else I do have a few unopened boxes of the 83 packs and about 10 mint sticker albums to trade. I bought a case of them at one time and I plan on opening them up and trying to fill a book. A case is 4 boxes I thinkl plus maybe a dozen of the album books. I know you can buy the whole set for a couple of bucks, but it's 1982 stuff for about $10 or less per box of 100 packs- that's cheap rippin fun! >>
1/2 is pretty good....I don't think I ever got more then a 1/4 on any of those sticker sets, not counting the year (years?) they sold the set and the album together.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

I don't think I could bear the '82's, Tom, if those were stuck all over. The '83's are, mercifully, a little smaller; as such, I have to squint over the top of the Free Press sports section each morning to discern the cherubic features of Mssr. Benedict.
