Pretty Nice Partial Set Pickup (ebay) with scans

I know, I know... you are probably sick of all my 62T stuff. That said, here is some more

Bought a partial set off of ebay, crappy photos, poor description (other than numbers listed)...most of the usual things to avoid. I bought it primarily because the Maris and Koufax looked like 6's from what I could see - so I hoped for a bunch in that range.

I paid a little over $500 for a little over 500 cards. I figured I'd get a set in the 4-5 range. Pleased to get many in the 6 range, a few possible 7's. Quite a few were in the 1-3 range too (including #200 Mantle), but quite a few nice high numbers too. Anyway, I thought I'd share, as for me it was like a rip given the pleasant surprise of the condition.

I actually think I'll be able to use 100+ cards in my Ex/Mt set, including many of the stars below:

Mike, that Gibby looks good in the scan. The Santo as well. For a buck a card, I think you did well. Good work.

That set grows on me the more I see it.

Had the Maris once (much worse than that one) and wish that I still had it but I guess whatever it was I traded it away for was important at the time.

For about a buck a card and a ton of HOF'ers, I would say you did pretty darn good.

I'm never sick of great looking 62's Mike. Nice pickup. One of these days I need to buy a #592 Parade (McDowell and Radatz). When I do I'm sure I'll consult you.

I'd say 5.5 to 6 on the Maris. 6 for sure a year or two ago.

I always thought Duke Snider would have been a great Western movie star. Always has that faraway look in his eyes. Like he's about to leave the woman he loves and ride out to Monument Valley.
