Newp- Valentinian II Deal

I just picked up a nice AE3 of Valentinian II (375-392 A.D.) for an amazing $12.00 from Incitatus Coins. The surprising thing, other than the price, is that this coin has a name break in the obverse legend and is unlisted for the type with a name break.
For those unfamiliar with late Roman ancients, in many instances there was more than one Emperor at a time, particularly in the West. The senior Emperor would have a break in the name on his coinage, as in this case VALENTINI - ANVS. The junior Emperor would have a solid name on his coinage.
This coin is very similar to RIC IX, Type 38a but with the break in the legend. Would I be safe to assume that this coin was struck after the death of Gratian in 383 A.D., thus making Valentinian II the senior emperor?
Anyway, I can't believe I picked up an unlisted variety for $12.00!
