Follow up on the one of many bogus 52 Topps Mantle that sold on ebay

Just wanted to follow up on that stunning bogus 52 Topps Mickey Mantle that sold on ebay a couple of weeks ago item # 250353988714. I believe it sold for over 60K. Everyone was suspicious and said it had to be a stolen image. I reported it to ebay and a few others did too, but the action finished out.

I even asked the seller a question since he was in Southern Cal and asked if I could view the card in person and he said,

ill do you this favor, my name is rudy tang look at my profile Im not only a powerseller and insured and bonded 50,000 / 50,000 aswell my cards are register to me and showcased with PSA! heres the web address http://www.psacard.com/setregistry/showcase.aspx?sc=466 so no worries ok :-)

Well the seller's name was quality-items-seller and he is no longer an ebay seller and when I click on the auction it says,
"This listing (250353988714) has been removed or is no longer available. "

Did ebay get rid of this loser after the buyer had a problem? Just curious and wanted to give people heads up if the seller re-appears,

Brian

  • I believe it was eventually determined that the "seller" was the infmous scamster Jose Hernandez. Buyer knew that and both went POOF.

Thanks Storm for the bump on that thread. I tried doing a search for it and it didn't come up. I guess I gotta be smarter than the search box. lol
