A tutorial, please

It's pretty easy to "crack out" cards from PSA holders, but are there any instructions anywhere on how to do it for GAI, SCD, and the toughest one: Beckett? I've bloodied enough fingers already!

Thanks!

Nick

  • There is a detailed thread with pictures on here somewhere. I just use needle nose pliers and crack a top corner off then pry it open with a flathead screwdriver.

These should be able to get the cards out. No guarantees what they will look like when your done. image

wow, You will not need those.

I just use a small flat head screwdriver. Insert it into the crack in the case; run it all the way around while twisting slightly.
    Usually it works great.

For those hard to crack slabs I put the slab in a vice (protected with paper or something) and I hacksaw
off one end. I then pry open the slab with a screw driver.

I pry the slab over my bed or some other soft surface. That way if it falls it falls there.

    Good for you.

Thanks Bill. We get a lot of compliments on it as the entryway to the house is in the same room. It's a little scratched up as the previous owner had a BIG Saint Bernard so will have to redo it sometime.

And that manual wood splitter can tear through some seriously large and nasty pieces of wood.
  • I use a bandsaw, I picked up at a garage sale, cut 3 sides bring in the house and it opens by hand.
