fourth rip from the packs that I bought a few years ago. There were 8 packs that did not look good to me, so they were not sent in for grading. Well, all four of the packs I opened WERE resealed. At least the scumbag left the gum in the pack! LOL

STAY HEALTHY!

<< <i>Do you think $200 is high for a GAI 8.5 1986 fleer basketball? >>
Mantle ... I'd say that is probably the going rate. I would think that for an 8.5 or 9 you would pay between $180 and $225. IMO, if buying to keep unopened, I'd spend the few extra dollars and get the "9". HOWEVER, if you intend to "RIP IT", I'd try to look for a 7.5 or 8 and save the money.

<< <i>I was going to rip one. it comes from an unopened case. The seller says there is a 1 in 12 shot at a Jordan rookie >>
Though I do not know the sequence myself, there is supposedly a very distinct 86 Fleer packing sequence,so unless you totally trust the seller, your chances at getting a Jordan are probably 0%.

Mathematically I believe there is a 1:11 chance. 132 cards in the set and 12 cards in each pack. HOWEVER, as Dr. J. stated, if someone knows the sequence (and many do) all you would need to know is the card on the front and/or back to figure out if Jordan is in the pack. I'm not saying everyone is trying to screw you, but just be careful.
I have bought graded packs in the past. HOWEVER, they were not to RIP ... they were to hold on to and resell.
