Sort of broke my numismatic resolution

ajaanajaan Posts: 17,613 ✭✭✭✭✭
I bought this set off eBay. I placed what I thought was a low ball bid and won it. I am mainly interested in the Edward VII 1/2d in the second image. I have no idea of the date but it looks nice. Hopefully it's one I need for my date set.

If you're feeling too guilty about breaking your resolution, I would probably take that off your hands at that price. image

Hey, the album plus the silver is more than worth what you paid for it, so you probably did fine.

  • Yeh ... I'd probably have bought it if I'd seen it. Nice buy!

Album arrived. The 1/2d I liked wasn't MS. Just cleaned circ. There is a MS 1916 3d though and a MS 1936 Farthing. The 1907 3d may by Unc. Tought for me to tell sometims with those small coins. Yes, wybrit, I'm getting old.

And you just sold two nice MS 1916 3d only a few days ago, one of which is now mine (below). image

It's a sign, this particular date/denomination is telling you that it wants to stay with you. I'm not joking, this object speaks to you and you keep ignoring it. As a profoundly superstitious collector who has erased the word coincidence from my vocabulary, I'm warning you. image

Other than that, if the album is in decent condition, you can't complain. image
