Without Donruss, are baseball relics still being cut up?

i know donruss was the main company buying relics and cutting them up to put in cards...they also put a serial number on everything to create scarcity (remember 2006 Leaf)....

are these practices still going on or did the companies halt destruction of relics?

im not to familiar with 2007-2008 modern issues....

donruss had:

Greats of the Game (ruth jersey)

Absolute Memorabila (more ruth jersey and Thorpe's jersey)

all the leaf products....

i think they had the most relics....

upperdeck and topps are big into game used jersey but of ACTIVE players...big difference...

I find it very difficult to believe that they would actually cut up a Babe Ruth jersey. How would you ever know if another jersey was substituted in it's place??

i know some people do not believe those snips are of a real jersey but i believe it....

i have seen video of them cutting up a ruth jersey to insert....

i have a few pieces of ruth jersey card and they look the same (the jersey looks like it came from the same jersey) eventhough it was in differetn sets....

would card companies really risk their names by inserting things that werent legit....

its documented these card companies were purchasing these jerseys from the auction houses for the specific purpose of cutting them up....

the one that really surprosed me was the Jimmy Foxx glove that was cut up, that was the only known one!

I say.........Cut them all up . I wouldnt be able to buy a Ruth jersey but i can
afford to buy boxes of cards with the chance to get a piece of one

All brands are cutting up jerseys and bats . Some are even cutting up shoes , balls and helmets .

most of the modern crap being cut up has never been worn or used by the players. completely bogus market.
