It has the major devices of a one Real of Santo Domingo KM 0019. Ferdinand II and Elizabeth (Spain) 1505 - 1516. All of the devices and lettering are very crude and don't look right. It should be silver. I doubt that it is genuine.
That looks like a Washington quarter tear drop variety to me, worth at least a half grand or more!!! OK, just kidding... The coin in question looks a little suspect to me. We really are not talking about the Washington quarters right??? Both of mine are the scarce tear drop variety (I hope)...

1836 Capped Liberty dime. My oldest US detecting find so far. I dig almost every signal I get for the most part. Go figure...
Oh well. Only cost me 25cents so nothing lost. After your comments I looked at it more carefully. The edge has some reeding in one place and then the rest of it looks like a punched out planchet. Someone else from a coin club thought it might be from 14th or 15th germany. Not familar with any of these so will keep it with my other lots of "What are they?". Thanks for the info everyone. That has the look of a cast tourist souvenir, unfortunately.
