Anybody wanna take a stab at attributing a low grade ancient Greek AE15?

I'm thinking Sicily/Syracuse, due to the goddess on the obverse and the winged thunderbolt reverse, but I haven't found an exact match. There were some pretty close ones in Syracuse.

You could have done better with that aerial shot. You only went halfway up the ladder. A good eBay coin picture should be taken from the roof, with the coin on the sidewalk below.

Or this? ....I know it's not gold, but the basic design elements have similarities. I'm not good at this, as you can see.

Marcus Aurelius has a thunderbolt design similar, also.

These are what the details make me recall, from the supplied pictures. I tried to Photoshop it, but there are really no clear details to grasp. Wish I could help further.

I knew about the Marcus Aurelius thunderbolt-rev AEs- I sold just such a provincial bronze a little while ago (bought it unattributed off the 'Bay).

You're definitely onto something with the resemblance of that Herakles head/thunderbolt Macedonian piece, but I somehow didn't quite think the head on mine is masculine. I guess it could be, but I don't see the outline of the lionskin hood, so I don't think we are lookin' at Herakles.

You're gettin' about as warm as I was, I suppose. As I mentioned, there's a Syracusian thunderbolt-reverse AE15 with a really close design, too, but its head is not quite an exact match, either.

I don't often try to attribute coins, but there seems to be a point that it just hasn't enough left for a positive i.d.

Not saying that this one can't be, just that it's a little too vague for my meager skills. I'll bet someone will come along soon and just name it without a second thought.
