Does anyone else think the font on this 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle PSA 6 appear odd. Not necessarily the "1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle", but the "#253, EX-MT 6 and 40597210" does appear a bit odd to me.

Can be caused by a lot of things. Including the PSA-printer being messed up;
and, some crook at home trying to get close.

In typography, kerning—less commonly, mortising (referring to the process of physically removing material from the cast character)—is the process of adjusting letter spacing in a proportional font. Kerning is Selective Letterspacing
Kerning is the adjustment of space between pairs of letters. Some pairs of letters create awkward spaces. Kerning adds or subtracts space between letters to create more visually appealing and readable text.
Kerning information for many commonly kerned character pairs is built-in to most quality fonts. Some software programs use these built-in kerning tables to apply automatic kerning to text. Each application provides varying amounts of support for built-in kerning information and may support only Type 1 or only TrueType kerning data.

Headlines usually benefit from kerning and text set in ALL CAPS almost always requires kerning for best appearance. Depending on the font and the actual characters used, automatic kerning without manual intervention may be sufficient for most publications.
Tracking is Overall Letterspacing
Tracking differs from kerning in that tracking is the adjustment of space for groups of letters and entire blocks of text. Use tracking to change the overall appearance and readability of the text, making it more open and airy or more dense.
You can apply tracking to all text or selected portions. You can use selective tracking to squeeze more characters onto a line to save space or prevent a few words from carrying over to another page or column of text.
Tracking often changes line endings and shortens lines of text. Tracking can be further adjusted on individual lines or words to improve hyphenation and line endings.
Tracking should not replace careful copyfitting. Use tracking adjustments carefully and avoid extreme changes in the tracking (loose or normal tracking following by a line or two of very tight tracking) within the same paragraph or adjacent paragraphs.

I agree that someone has maybe played games with it... never been dropped, just shipped UPS once.
Your intuition is correct. The card appears to be a reprint/fake and the PSA flip has the wrong font styles on both the front and back.

The logo is there, but it's hard to see.
If I was to give my opinion, I'd say the card and the seller are good.
This issue has been discussed on the Net 54 boards - they can explain it better than I can. Basically, any PSA flip that looks like the mantle in the thread is a fake flip - the card might be authentic, but likely trimmed and/or a lower grade.

All the card I got had the raised PSA logo on the case. Somehow this perso figured out a way to open slabs and reuse them without ruining them, which I had thought wasn't possible."

Here are two examples I made tonight, just for this post. It shows that slabs can easily be cracked cards/flips replaced and rejoined without little or no frosting. I didn't have an SGC slab available but it's pretty much the same.
IMO the problem is much worse than many think. As many know, altering to educate is what I have to offer the hobby. It's the stuff that's not (or ever will be) shown that can be scary.
If advanced doctoring of any sort is caught early enough countermeasures can be put into place. Ignoring or denying a problem without adjusting, reinventing or bringing in new ideas can be harmful. Just my 2 cents."
