Not everybody on E-Bay is a Di&k !

Morning,
All we ever hear about here is the AholleS in out dealings with our Buyers or Sellers on Fee-Bay. Got a message this morning from a guy who won something from me on 12/19 and paid right away with PayPal. I screwed up and it slipped through the cracks. Totally my fault, I send out 50-100 packages a week, and I am Human!!

I sent the guy this.

So Good Morning,
Thanks for contacting me on this. Don't know how this happened, my screwup somehow. Still getting the glithes worked out of this whole Paypal thing. I apologize, I found the cards still here. I will get them mailed today and will refund your postage in the package for my delay.
Once again, sorry for the delay.
Have a great day
Neil

He reply's:

If you can get the cards out ,this would be great.
Do not worry about the postage, I will be happy to get the cards.
Thanks again, Alan W

Wow it's nice to occasionally deal with resonable people. By the way, he's getting his shipping refunded anyway.

You're right Neil, it is nice to hear of someone being relatively sane, rather than all the bad we hear coming from EBAY.

This was my first thought too.
  • I don't know about the negative. people would usually rather hear the truth and be apologized to than some string of crap. It's far easier to empathize and be understanding - a little thing gets let go and doesn't end up tainting the memory of the purchase. I'd let it go, and I think alot of us would.

The truth is that there are many great buyers and sellers on ebay. It is just always the bad apples that everyone hears about. My dealings on ebay have almost always been positive.
