I've seen the gum come out of packs still appartently floury-fresh and I've seen it look pretty haloucinagenic (spelling, I know) too. Maybe from moisture? Never too tempted to eat the multi colored stuff, but it the pink stuff still looks worth a try, I can just never get myself to do it. Too little upside to the chance, maybe?
I tryed a piece from a 75 mini. It turned into powder almost right away. I then spit it out in the toilet and brushed my teath. Is it possible to get sick from it?
I chewed 2 or 3 pieces from packs of 1975 at the 2007 Nationals. The taste wasn't really that bad, but what I found is that it dissolved in my mouth after only a few minutes of chewing it.
Flatfoot chewed a piece of gum from the 60's pack he opened on video, didn't he? I'm too lazy right now to find the link, but it was sweet! (the act was sweet, not the gum)

<< <i> I did, from a 1978 Topps baseball wax pack. Powder and hard as hell to get it all out of your mouth. >>
I did that back in April and it certainly left an after taste and I only did a few chews thinking it would be funny.

Unfortunately, several of my fillings came out and I had to wait until today to get them replaced.
