Think we'll ever see another cheap listing day on eBay ever again?

I figured there might be one during the Christmas shopping season. No dice.
I figured if all else failed, there would be the usual one after Christmas. Nope.
New Years sale? Nothing so far.
Have the days of the .05 and .10 listing day gone the way of the dinosaur?

They were NEVER meant to "help" sellers.
Now, with the Diamond PowerSellers listing MILLIONS of items - and paying NO
upfront listing-fees - there is no justification for giving the peasants a break.
When auctivacommerce goes live on 20 January, EBAY may do a bit of counter
pricing to help stop the bleeding. (I have no clue as to whether auctiva will be
a success, but the excitement level seems pretty high among current EBAY
sellers.)
auctiva stores will be free for 2-months; after that, they will be $9.95. Unlimited
pictures, any payment method, and NO DSR carp. Also, PayPal is a breeze to
use on other sites, because there is none of the buyer/seller "protection"
nonsense in play. But, google checkout is MUCH cheaper than PP.
EBAY Pro-Stores has moved their "pay per action" scheme to BETA. auctiva
will offer a PPA, out of the gate. It is not clear if it is a bid scheme or a set
price; if its a bid game, sellers can "bid" higher FVFs to get better advertising
budgets. 8% will be the floor. If bids are permitted, sellers bidding in the +/- 20%
range should be able to dominate.
