  • I saw a David Justice Sterling patch in completed auctions on eBay?!? I don't see him on your checklist though. If I spent $270 and got 5 David Justices, I'd be kicking my own ass for even putting myself in that position. Good Luck Zep, you're a brave man!

Edited to add: or Fred McGriff!!

Good luck with this tomorrow on your B-Day. I resisted a box of this and a box of Prime Cuts today. Tempting, but I'm saving up for SP Authentic and Playoff Contenders next week. Had to settle for a box of Bowman Chrome today.

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

the main box will always be a single player and the mystery pack can be anyone.

Wonder if I should write Topps about the poor QC? hmm, maybe this ain't over yet image

or maybe I should play it up on Ebay as some rare error card, make millions, buy a yacht and retire comfortably to the Carribean

    i would go with that!!

collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.

looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started

  • so, SHOULD you have gotten an auto>?

theoretically what are the cards you pulled worth? they got serial numbers. woohoo. but none are signed right?
  • Topps Sterling comes in a player specific box . 3 base cards plus 1 hit . Each box also comes with a mystery pack that could
have just about anything in it . The good thing with these cards is that you wont pull any scrubs out of them.

Zep , there does seem to be a better product to buy however . Some of the pulls ive seen are just great. That would be
2008 Playoff Prime Cuts........1 huge enclosed hit plus a few other unenclosed hits....A little cheaper too.

  • EAsportsEAsports Posts: 1,566 ✭✭✭
    Wow. That is ridiculous.

Damaged cards, poor quality control, and "average" players. That's very poor on Topps' part. Very poor.

Ironic that Topps puts "CYA" on a card that they screw up. I wondered of they CYA'd themselves, and corrected it.

The bright side (I guess?) is that it was a birthday present. And not something you had been saving for, or spent your monthly card budget on.

Happy B-day, by the way. Lots of great people have birthdays today. Like me!
