Predict How this will end

I had a card up with a pretty high BIN. Somebody sends a best offer, I counter for $25 bucks more and he accepts (a little over half price).
This follows:
Q: Just letting know in your listing you give 10 days to pay I dont want to put this on my credit card Im expecting some money in the mail as soon as I get it I will get payment to you right away if by chance it doesnt I will then pay by credit card hope thats cool with you?
A: While financially prudent to not charge on the credit card, I suppose my first question would be "what date are you looking at"? I suppose this is OK. Are you going to be paying by Paypal?
Thanks for any further info.
He than pays right after I send the note. I get 2 follow up e-mails:
"Hope that was quick enough, when you run a listing to pay in 10 days you should stick to it I hope you can ship fast so I dont have to ask where my card is or when its going to be at my house!" (my actually phrase is "Payment must be received within 10 days", not payment due on the 10th day).
"Also send me a tracking # so I know when you shipped!"
I see bad things in my future.

From your phrase, "Payment must be received within 10 days", then as long as you receive his payment within 10 days, even if its on the 10th day, then he has fulfilled his obligations as a buyer.
I think he probably feels that he was being courteous in letting you know that it was potentially going to take up to the 10 full days, and then he was met with "I suppose this is OK" and it just didn't set right with him.
No harm, no foul, just ship his stuff.
Mike
I would ship it out quickly, send him an email with the tracking info, and cross your fingers.

Or, just pay within 10 days. I as a seller do not need to know all that extra BS.
The less said the better. All he had to do was address that if the seller started asking for payment.
Steve
You hit the nail right on the head. Exactly what I was thinking. Especially with a BIN purchase.
Kurt
man i would have hit him with something good on that one, send with delivery confirmation and give it to him on email and tell him its so damned exciting to watch, he'll forget its christmas and just watch his card travel from po to po on usps.com
<< <i>..........he was being courteous in letting you know that it was potentially going to take up to the 10 full days............ >>
But the seller didn't need to know that. Only if it was going to go past 10 days was a "heads up" email to the seller necessary. What does the seller care if you have money coming in the mail, or if you're robbing a jewelry store to pay him for that matter?
Also, the seller did not need to advise the buyer of what is financially prudent and what is not.
Whammy is a troublemaker.

I do not know about the buyer, but Kurt is hardly a moron.
Why would you say something so mean?
maybe he has experience?

Me thinks you are thinking of the khorton(?) guy... the one with the barfing pumpkin. That would explain the moron comment.
Snorto~
That being said, I wonder if he is referring to the classic definition of moron or the more casual, modern one? I haven't had my IQ checked in a while, so it is possibly I have slipped into that category.

Is Whammy his sled from when he was a boy?
