Fake Heritage Patch and Auto cards?

I just noticed these the other day, I have not seen any Heritage patch or auto cards like these. Are they just complete fakes?

I noticed these at target. No uniform involved here. Leisure suit maybe, pajamas, what ever topps could get in their hands.

Yeah. I just went to target and pulled a 1960 Mantle relic
  • that first one sold for like 26 bucks. You can buy the whole set at target with that card for like 40-45 bucks with a coupon. They have a coupon in tuff stuff for like 5 10 bucks off.Absurd!
  • The Basketball are from this years Topps Basketball.Nothing wrong with them either.

  • Thanks for the replies, so I guess they are authentic Topps cards but not actual Topps Heritage issues like they are advertised.

Not advertised as Heritage by Topps, but by the seller. Note the absence of any Heritage logo on all the cards you posted.

I think he was confused! Not all great looking cards are heritage!! If anyone wants confusing, check out the number of 2001 topps archives cards listed
as 2001 topps heritage? I once bought a Vernon off ebay and it was archives..got my money back.

Somewhat along the same lines, is this the reason, say, the 2008 Heritage "master set" includes the Walmart Perez cards and the T-205 minis? Because they include the Heritage logo, although you could question if they are great looking cards. image

The Perez and T205''s were only available in heritage packs, so I could see why someone would include them in the set. I actually liked the Perez
cards and added both sets to my master

I agree...I like both the Perez and the T205's. I guess I didn't articulate what I meant to say... which is that the T205's look nothing like this year's Heritage design, but they're considered part of the set, while those Mantle cards look like various Heritage designs but really have nothing to do with Heritage.

heywood still looks like a card with a piece of paper sitting on it to me,anybody else?

Rube - you're right. It's one of the alternatives to the "sticker auto" - actually identical to a cut auto. They've been making cards like this for years - the player just signs a piece of paper, which is inserted into the card, rather than the player signing the card itself.

Good point on the T205 and Perez cards from 08 Heritage. I consider them part of the master set because they were available in Heritage packs. I think a true master set should include ANY card that was available in packs of that set. I'm probably going to put together a set of the 2006 Bowman Heritage Red / Blue Back set to add to my Topps Heritage collection because they sport the Topps Heritage logo on the front. Even though they look like Topps Heritage cards, they were available only in packs of Bowman Heritage. Go figure.
