I have, I believe. Now tell the storyimage
  • well,
let's see now where to begin? I dealt with this guy for a high grade psa card through paypal. he requested it be sent in a box which is kinda out of my "normal" routine of bubble mailers and sig confirmation. so i complied with the request. he did not want it insured (or at least didn't mention it) and so i sent if off. a few days later he gets the box and says it's empty except for the magazine paper i stuffed it with. he files a complaint. i go to my post office, they don't have anything of course (like lost and found) and so I take a small loss and refund the man HALF of the purchase price through paypal. He accepts the refund. Now, just this morning I hear from his Credit Card company and he would like a FULL refund on top of the paypal refund. oooooh man it boils my blood. especially around the frickin holidays !!
So, that's the story. any help or advice would be welcomed from those that have been through something similar. Gracias.

Sounds like you encountered one of the THOUSANDS of scamming-"buyers"
that EBAY/PayPal have turned loose on their honest sellers.

Call the marooooons at PayPal and tell them what is going on. Maybe they
will let the CC company know you already made a partial refund.

It sounds like your USPS paperwork may NOT be in order for PayPal "seller protection"
    purposes.

Insurance is to protect the SELLER. Always buy it. Use DC/SC as required
    by PayPal.

The ONLY way that I know to get away from the criminals at EBAY is to STOP
    using EBAY.

(PayPal works just fine on other venues. It is the "buyer protection" nonsense
that opens the system to the SCAMMING-"buyers." The is no such "protection"
    on the other venues.)

    good luck

Aside from putting up an auction going 100% to charity (which is a farse in itself, check out Giving Tree's fees to handle a donation to a charity) stories like this are why I will never sell another item on EBAY again. These guys SUCK! The damn site seems to be riddled with con-men and scam artist and EBAY could care less. SCREW YOU EBAY. I am really sorry this happened to you! Its a shame especially during this time of the year!
  • I believe in eye for an eye. See if he ever sells any items on eBay.

Che sorry this happened but how much are we talking about here?

If over 250.00 insurance and electronic confirmation is a must.

If under, DC and insurance is also a consideration.

    Good luck sorting this out.

    Good for you.

Sounds like this mutt is getting the card, half the purchase price and his payment charged back.

    What a slime bucket.

Big Red Flag when up when someone would agree to accept half his money back for an "item not received" I know if I don't get something I paid for, I want all my money back, not half of it.
