This has happened before and the rebate % always comes back. The correct ad copy isn't loading. even if the rebate was over, ebay would never be satisfied with an ad description of "buy ipod" when a user enters the search term "ipod."
I wish I could say it would immediately come back to 30%, but I'm 99.9% confident some % will come back. They seem to have had a lot of technical glitches with this program.
I think MSFT might have ended it all together for the rest of the year. I follow MSFT stock and there are rumors that they will miss their earnings number this qtr, which ends this month. They are probably cutting all spending until the qtr is over. I work at a large company (Fortune top 5) and we cut back all IT spending this qtr because of budgets.
The trend down makes me think that is the case. If so, then it will probably come back close to the end of the qtr when they know how much the earnings will be or in Jan.

I'll check with some of my former co-workers over at MSN and see what the deal is. I highly doubt they have eliminated the program. Reduced the %? Maybe. Eliminated? I doubt it. The cost of this program is a drop in the bucket and not a major reason why they may miss their numbers. The ad copy up right now is simply a placeholder until they get the correct ad copy served up. That's what leads me to believe that the rebate is still going on.

I guess I should have used suspended instead of eliminate. I think it will be back since Microsoft doesn't have any other search strategy.
I bought something yesterday for 8%. But nothing so far today. I also just looked at gift cards on ebay, and finally some but not all sellers, have dropped their buy it now prices. Some even still mention 30% Live Cashback on their listings!
