Did you know Hank Aaron played for the 49ers?

swartz1 bowman non-auto thread reminded me of this recent pull someone posted on becketts boards. Thought you all might get a kick out of this.

Don't you know that's the advantage of sticker autos. The auto and the card don't have match. image

Why did Hank only sign last name on sticker?
I collect Seattle Pilots autographs, 1969 Topps autographs, Signed Mickey Mantle Home Run History cards and have a JC Martin collection (he was my college Baseball coach)

  • I have an autographed Hank Aaron card. That doesn't look like the same signature. Mines PSA certified.

The Aaron looks good compared to the signature on my Hank Aaron ball - also PSA/DNA certified.

  • On mine there's no drop on the end of the first A. The R looks like an upside down V. The O is narrower. N is also different. Could just be the time when they were signed. Peoples signatures change over time. I could upload a pic of mine if I can figure out how.
  • Did you contact Donruss about this card?
  • Look at the differences in my card and that signature. You can see several differences.

    That's a pre-arthritic signature.
  • Also consider that that signature is about 40 years old, when compared to the sticker. Guess that's why the authenticators are the experts.
