Ripken era tickets

Here are a few from Cal's days with Rochester.

The Pawtucket one also featured one Wade Boggs. One of the undesignated tickets is against Columbus Cliuppers - with Don Mattingly.

I saw Grandslam '85 at Silver Stadium - the Hooters, Joe Walsh, Foreigner and Aerosmith. Aerosmith was still toxic and, I believe Tyler, fell off of the piano bench while playing "Dream On"

  • I just missed Ripken in Charlotte. We used to go after work in the mid 70's to watch the old Chatlotte O's play. I don't think Ripkin was there until the late(?) 70's. I always wanted to see him play. A great baseball story and player.

    Nice souvenirs.

    Thanks for the reference!

Very cool on the Rochester stub. With your permission, I'd like to post a scan of what one of the tickets from the '81 season looked like on my site. I'd be more than happy to give you credit for the scan.

Speaking of Charlotte, I finally found a set of pictures of Crockett Park courtesy of Digital Ballparks. I sent them an e-mail asking for their permission to load a set of them on my site but I am yet to hear back from them.
  • ripken ...

no problem ... if you need a better scan , pm me. Cal was class.

    cheers
