Another Ticket Stub and Story

If you notice the date on the Bristol ticket it was the day that Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. I was on my way home from the race at Bristol and my friend and I listened to the moon landing on the car radio.

If I am not mistaken this was the first race ran on the newly banked Bristol Speedway. After the race we went into the infield, which you could do back then. We were talking to a couple of inactive Nascar drivers, Clyde Lynn and James Sears and not wanting to climb the bowl shaped track as we were under the influence of a few Falstaffs, asked for a ride to the parking lot. Clyde Lynn had a 62 Ford Galaxie 500- 4 door and said he would give us the ride. While crossing the track he asked is we had ever been around Bristol at which point he took us a couple of laps in his 62 Ford.

I know y'all are card people but this is in keeping with the category.
