Review of 2008

What was your best card pickup this past year?
What card did you part with that you wish you hadn't?

Pictures are often worth a 1,000 words, so please show scans if possible!

No regrets on selling anything, they're easy enough to find again. And should get even easier/cheaper shortly.

LOL. Random crap can be pretty popular around here, I agree, but I think the lack of responses on this thread has more to do with another recent thread that was very similar. But, Lord knows, I'm not shy with my scans, so I'll share a few more pickups from this year for my T218 set that I was pumped about... And let's see your favorites, Major. I know you've picked up some great stuff.

  • The Riddell card is my favorite from the set. The roller skater is the worst.

    Item I wish I hadn't sold:

1936 New York Yankees Team Signed Ball

    Pickup of the year:

If I had to pick one item, it would be this:

I've picked up more expensive items, but that would probably be my favorited card of the year. #2 would be my Ruth / Gehrig dual signed baseball (no pic), with this being #3: image

    #4:

and #5 being a Simon Sports card featuring and signed by Ted Williams and Carl Yastrzemski (not scanned yet).

Thanks! I like your T218's as well. I picked up the profile Jack Johnson this year, and need to add the Face Front card at some point.
