Game Used cards...My Latest Thing

I have been hitting the game used cards on ebay lately. I really didn't have many for my collection but that has changed image
Most of these have low print runs 22-350. All of the ones pictured below are on their way to BGS. I informed them the minimum grade I would accept was an 8. Any card that would not not meet the standard of an 8, I asked to have slabbed as authentic only.

    Great additions, for your collection.

Before I made my final decision on minimum-grades - maybe you already did decide -
I would consider a request for 8.5 minimum.

8s are just not well accepted, in my experience. Even 8.5s are not easy to get folks
interested in. (I know you bought them to keep, but someday that could change.)

"Authentic" always appeals to me on relic/GU cards.

    Nice. image

But I will never understand the concept of the game used stadium seat cards.

    I hear ya storm.

I believe 8's are not that well accepted due to the white flip that goes with it. 8.5 flips are silver giving the slab a better look..imo

You mean you wouldn't want a card with a piece of seat in it that thousands of people have farted on?

The History of the draft patch looks great. You picked up some nice ones to get graded.

Any reason why you are going with BGS? (Not that I have a problem w/ BGS as I have all my Smiths in them)

I would have went with PSA if the modified pack slabs they use as game used card slabs were any good.

They are not, so I went with BGS

Yea, the pack slabs doen't look like the work real well w/ the thicker cards.

Nope. I sent in about 7 cards some months ago, only to get them back with the cards actually bouncing from the front to the back of the slab

The slabs had over a 1/4 of an inch of play for the card to move around.

Needless to say, I was not very pleased

Yea, I can see why you wouldn't be happy with that. Were the cards banged up at all?

Some of the more "sensitive" have a little extra damage.

I don't move them much just avoid damaging them any further. It's a sad situation.

Agreed, good choice to go w/ a case that was designed only for thicker cards.

As for the minimum grade of an 8, who cares. I don't believe Matt is selling these, ever.
