billy ripkin was not the first ...

So much written and said about the Billy Ripkin FF card. How did they keep THIS quite ?

This card was recently discovered in 2008 ... appearently pulled from the original 1961 topps negative. (was found in the Rube Vault archives)

    amazing how many times I see that name misspelled......

    Kind of off track, but I own copies of both Cal Jr.'s and Sr's senior year High School yearbooks and in both (25 years apart), you can see the same misspellings....
    Successful dealings with Wcsportscards94558, EagleEyeKid, SamsGirl214, Volver, DwayneDrain, Oaksey25, Griffins, Cardfan07, Etc.

    Really? And you only noticed that Ripken was misspelled? Not to be too picky, but spell check only takes a second. Sorry, now back to our regular scheduled program.

    Dont know of any before him, but the 1990 Pacific Senior Jim Nettles was after him.

    I liked the two first cards better, but now I think I like the Cal card that jeff posted.

    Rube, I also have a card from Yogi Berra that says, "Rube Sucks" next to the sig. lol image
