<< <i>It's a question I asked a couple weeks ago and the response I got was to add another email address to the account, which will give you 12 more. >>
Hmm, sounds easy enough. Would that email address be getting added to paypal or Ebay (or both)?
I tried that with my business ebay/paypal and it didn't work. Bought with business ebay, paid with business paypal and linked to the normal MS account... no go. The money never showed up. Maybe it would work if you created a new MS account???
I would sure like the 12 to be reset though

Mmm, didn't work. I created a new email address, swithced both Ebay and Paypal to use it, and created a new Live cashback account with it. I made a purchase, and Ebay sent the cash-back to the 1st address, so this makes me think that the 12 item limit is enforced by Ebay PER Ebay account.
My understanding was that it was per paypal account. Other users have posted that different email addresses (i.e. the wife's) linked to their paypal account were not getting the rebate.
How about this one.....I created a new EBAY account, w/ a new email linked to it, which I used to create a new paypal account, that had a new bank account attached. I bought three cases w/ this EBAY account, saw it in my ebay messages, but never posted to my second live.com ID. When I looked into my original account, all three were there. I am assuming that they also have some sort of IP tracker to, so you might want to use different computers to set up a second account.
Hey guys ... how does this 25% back work? Is it on all items on ebay or just BIN? I went to LIVE.COM but did not see how to sign up for this.
Thanks for any help.

Guys I am pretty sure if you are trying to do this off the same computer you are SOL. MS live seems to put some stuff on your computer which will always link back to the first live account created on it. I would guess some stuff in your registry. If I had the time I would look through mine and see what it put into it, I am sure once that is gone you can get away with creating a second account. Those bastzards at Microsoft are smart enough not to make it as simple as deleting some cookies from IE. Damn them.
12?? I though there was a limit of 3 purchases per account? I've created 3 different accounts to buy 9 items and you're telling me I can buy up to 12 items per account??
gemmintrarities, I have not had the same problems as you.
I have my own Ebay id, and my wife has hers. Both are tied to different email addresses, and both email addresses have their own Live account. We have a single Paypal account, but both of our email addresses are registered with it.
From my work computer, I completed my 12th and final transaction with my personal ebay ID, then switched over to my wife's account and successfully made a purchase. The cash back showed up in her Live account as pending with the standard 60 day delay.

Thats bizarre, b/c I set up two entirely different accounts w/ everything, and used the same computer, and they put all of my purchases I made w/ my distinctly seperate account into my original live account. There is no way that they would be able to tell it was the same person, unless they are checking IPS. I am sure they do this to keep people from buying and selling to themselves.
I have now set up another ebay id for my wife and have a different email address for it. They are both linked to the same Paypal acct. When I go to purchase something that is buy it now, it shows the Microsoft cashback amount in green but I haven't "pulled the trigger". I only have 8 purchases on my ebay id, will it not show up using my wife's eBay ID after I hit the max purchases with my eBay ID??? Just wondering. I'm set up and ready to go if it'll work.
