Raw card collectors

Im just curious how many of you "Raw" card collectors buy graded cards and crack them out for your collections, and if so what is the highest grade card that you will buy and crack out?

My Boys and I are working on raw 1974-1982 Topps Baseball sets, but haven't purchased any graded cards we need (yet)... we have received a 7 & 8 in trade and broke them out. We may need to purchase some cards that we cannot obtain in trade and we are trying to stay at EX-MT or better, but if the price is right we will break out any grade (9's included).

I'm building a graded and ungraded set for that year, both sets will be low grade.

I wonder if there would be such a need to crack out cards if more card shows were accessable ?
<< <i>I have cracked out many PSA 9's for my raw sets, probably 200 or more. >>
I have done this for all Topps baseball sets from 1970-1981, except for 1971. That's because I can't afford any 1971's in PSA 9!
