Coco Crisp going to the Royals

ESPN link

I know the Red Sox had to trade him to free up room for Ellsbury, but based on Coco's strong post-season, I was hoping for a bit more in return....

The Royals had the best record in baseball in the month of September. You can look it up.

I like the trade, although Ramon was excellent out of the bullpen. Crisp can play center, Dejesus in left and Guillen in right.
Now Royals fans can forget about the awful Joey Gathright being a full time player, and hopefully even get rid of him.

Cubs are supposed to be interested in Mark Teahen, I hope its true so we can get rid of him.
Things really shaping up for the Royals next year.

They only did this so Manny sees "Crisp traded for Ramirez" and he hops a plane to Boston.

While Crisp was a good player for the Sox this season, they should have moved him last off-season with Buchholz and whomever else for Santana.
    Who is Rober Maris?

OK, so the Royals have Coco Crisp and may be trading for Felix Pie. The Royals had Chili Davis a few years ago. If they can only get Tim Salmon now it will be a decent brunch.

When MLB shortens the season to a month the Royals will be set!

Geez, I get crucified for saying the Royals had the best record in September.
it shows they didn't give up, something that would have been easy to do. And gives long suffering Royals fans like me a little hope for the future.

I just wish we'd bring back Cookie Rojas.
And then make a trade for Melky Cabrerra.

I just think Cookie and Melk would go together real well.

I agree. We started the year pretty good also. Might actually keep up with the team the whole year next season. (It would be so much easier if they didn't play so many games...and tread the bottom so much).
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

Mark, nice to hear from you. Its funny, I was just reading the US coin forum and a poster wondered if anyone collected meteorites. He bought one on ebay, and I thought, meteorite guy would know if he got a good deal or not.
I think the Royals are going the right direction, they might make a few more moves during the offseason. I just hope they dont trade David Dejesus, that would kill me. The guy hustles all over the place and hit over .300 the first time in his career last year.
