57 topps lucky penny question

i have been thinking about selling mine. when i looked it up on ebay that 707 guy is selling his for an ungodly amount. not sure its worth that much.
mine is not graded, but WHAT do you think i can get for it? would i get more if i were to get it graded? its off centered and good corners.
its not a great scan. there is white border on the right side and on top.
thanks

    A PSA 4 is worth about $100-

They don't get hugely valuable until they are in the Near Mint or better range -- and the centering on your example will unfortunately preclude that.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I'd get the thing graded if I was you.

Also how bad is it OC? From the scan I can't tell if it is good or bad.

Do you think it will 6 at least? If so that might mean a couple hundred dollars.

    Good for you.
  • yeah thats the down fall. it is pretty bad OC. its a bad scan, but there is white all the way around. i THINK i can get at a minimum of a 5 OC.
i've been out of the loop for the last eight months while i was in Afghanistan, so i am a little lost with PSA.
i'll just send it in, i have other cards i want graded to.
    thanks

If you are interesrted in trading or selling here you are going to need a better scan. One cropped alittle farther away from the edge of the card.

i've had one of these for about 15 years that i finally submitted to psa at a show two weeks ago; its a beauty with 50-50 centering and what i thought were 7 corners--i thought it was a shoe-in for a 7, but i got my grades on friday and it only got a 6. its probably the nicest card u'll ever see in a 6 holder; if they didnt see it being worthy of a 7, then its a no-brainer for a 6.5. (heck, i've got a 57 bill russell rookie thats graded a 6 and this card is at least a half grade-if not a full grade--better than the russell). i'll try to post a scan of it when i get it back from psa so u guys can see exactly what i'm talking about--its just a gorgeous card with great eye appeal and the centering couldnt be better--most of the time u come across this card, the centering is usually horrendous.
  • love to check it out.
i got my card by luck i guess you can say.
i bought a 58 topps lot of i think it was like 30 something cards and i received this with it.

i also bought a 58 topps lot of 50 some thing cards ( the kind of people who just put card numbers on there auction, rather than pictures, and i seen a #47, (roger maris RC) and got the lot for like 20 bucks. its not great, a BVG 1.5. but hey, i think thats at least 20 bucks.

some time you get more than you expect.
