Shadow boxed memorabilia is cool. Here is one of my pieces. A 2002 US Open Flag signed by Tiger Woods along with the entire ticket set shadow boxed and triple matted.
Just for the sake of those of you interested in framed displays like that, be sure to invest a few extra $ for UV glass. >>
you are correct. My mom use to own a custom framing store and she framed all of my stuff for me. She told me that if she would have charged a regular customer for the Tiger piece that it would have been $500-$600. I got it done for free. Its hard to tell in my pic, but the frame is about 2 inches thick.
<< <i>Great display but I'm wondering why you picked the bottom three cards? Why not go with the 1988 and 1989 Fleer cards. >>
Actually I purchased the piece as is. I would have probably opted for th 87-88 Fleer then the ones you have listed. At the price I got it for, I can't complain at all. Initially, I had intended to resale but it is such a nice piece I may not be able to part with it.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

Did you have the whole thing custom matted? or did you make the frame yourself?

I'm with you, I would have one hell of a hard time parting with that. Please let us know if you decide to keep it....my vote is to keep it.
