What to do with thousands of common cards from the early 90s?

I was big into collecting baseball cards in the early 90s (1990-1993). I now have thousands of common cards sitting in my closet.

Does anyone know of an easy way to get rid of these? Maybe by selling, giving to needy kids, making card houses, going to Walmart and pinning them to bike wheels... something??

Let's just brainstorm! No idea is too crazy.

I trade people"s favorite teams for red sox, if you are picking through them, granted I may not have your team left.

I just went through the same thing with my boxes of junk. Ended up listing them for free on Craigs List. A father brought over his two young boys and they were excited as hell to walk away will tons of stuff to go through.

Edit: I even threw in a box of semi-star stuff when I saw how excited they were. Didn't want it to be a bust for them so I hoped it would help.

I wouldn't mind having the insert cards if you got any. The mid-1990s after all was the Golden Age of Inserts. image

One of my son's friends got lucky by finding a local buyer of commons/semi-stars/stars that were used as fillers for "Huge Lots of Sportscards" that he sells on eBay.

The guy paid him $15-$20 for each 5,000 count box of commons and $25-$40 for each box of semi-star/stars.

You might try your luck in your locale.
