'52 Topps Mantle Auction, thoughts?

Is this card legit? It ends tonight and is only at 3 grand. Seller has 100% feedback. Thoughts.

its a reprint, they were made in the 80's, they look like the real thing, no reprint sayings anywhere, this card is graded by one of the other brands that almost always gives high grades and authenticates reprints. i would stay away, a psa 7 mantle goes for far more, as much as 10 times more, probably even higher. 707sportscards sells a psa 1 for 3 to 4 thousand.

Card is without a doubt a reprint. I saw this auction a few days ago and reported but eBay likes when people get scammed for a couple grand. The sellers feedback is irrelevant. Only about 15 items sold in 10 years.

If there was even a slight chance of this card being authentic, it would already have reached 5 figures by now.

This card is definitely one of the nicest repros ever produced though.

I agree that there are a lot of good buys out there in eBayland, but unfortunately a 52 Mantle isn't one of them!

the last thing he sold was almost 2 years ago. besides if he thought it was real he would have had it graded by a reputable company.
