which players are easier and quick to get an autograph from via TTM?

there's a bunch of the not too famous ones, but anyone here have any successes with getting autographs from players within a week of sending them? if so, who?

there are hundreds of athletes from all sports who are good, quick signers.

Narrow your search depending on what you collect, what team you like, a set you are working on, etc. In my opinion.

there are really a bunch of guys but im going to tell you right now that the guys that sign index cards are fewer and fewer .
Alot of the guys are afraid of fraud . Easy to tranfer an autograph off of an index card

if you wanna try some basketball guys to can send to:

    Larry Nance
    Mark West
    Dan Majerle
    Hersey Hawkins
    Maurice Cheeks
    Kurt Rambis
    Lenny Wilkins
    Jerry Sloan
    BJ Armstrong

and if you wanna try foot ball:

    Herschel Walker
    Pat Swilling
    Jeff George
    Andre Reed
    Mark Kelso
    Nick Lowery
    Bruce Armstrong
    Steve Walsh

and if you are so inclined to do hockey:

    Adam Oates
    Brent Sutter
    Al MacInnis
    Bill Gadby
    Scotty Bowman
    Milt Schmidt
    Mike Madano
    Dave Andreychuk

there really is alot of guys that sign thru the mail in all sports.....around 1300 TTM successes for me so far

  • Ahmanfan, searched the yankees and sent those already

mickeymantle24, im cheap, i just want to pay for the stamps

bigwilli, thanks, i will try to send cards if i have of that player, otherwise i will have to go with index cards, i already sent one to rick cerone this week, i heard bobby bonilla takes about 15 days, i'm too impatient for that

thanks everyone for the list, as i am looking at the player's address and success time, i sent a batch last monday/tuesday, i will send out another this monday. thanks once again everyone, any other players that take a week to sign and get back, with no fee except for a SASE?

Some older HOFers that are incredibly quick returns and I've had them all back in less than a week:

    Chuck Bednarik - NFL
George Blanda - NFL (Personalizes everything)
    Ace Parker - NFL
Steve Largent - NFL (Prompt when in the office)
    Larry Little - NFL
John Wooden - NCAA Basketball (Personalizes everything)
    Sparky Anderson - MLB
    Bobby Doerr - MLB
    Al Kaline - MLB
  • Well all i have to say is if you arent patient you will never get a great TTM collection going . I am still getting some spring training
autos back now. You need to be able to show patience because the guys you send to have lives , they dont sit at home just to
wait for the mail so they can sign the next letter they get .

I sent out 6 baseballs a few weeks ago and have all 6 back within 10 days...

If you don't want to wait 15 days, then TTM autographs are not the hobby for you.

  • I would say 4 weeks is about the average TTM . Some shorter some alot longer.

I remember sending to Jeff Nelson when he playes for the Yanks . A couple days after i sent it , he got traded to the Mariners . The
next year he played for the Rangers and thats when i got it back . That envelope did alot of traveling

  • what i meant to say is that i dont want to wait to get an autograph and get one within a week of the not so famous players, thats why i have this thread up saying who does sign within a week, if im waiting for a longer time, i'd rather go with a more famous player.

thanks everyone for there lists and sites to look at, i am looking at them right now, i appreciate it!

  • ok,well if you are going to send index cards the only advice i can give you is use colored ones such as blue or green .
there are a few guys that will only sign colored one . Fred Lynn is a great example . I ones got a pink one back from him.
