1/2 - 1956 Baseball Set, Mid-Grade, W/PSA+SGC for Sale!!!!
Hi Guys.
I've lost focus on building my mid-grade 1956 Baseball Set, and decided to sell. I've been working on the set for over 2 years, and in my opinion, it's a beauty. The key factor when purchasing cards was centering. centering, centering, centering. Can't say that enough. There are no (well maybe just a small few) off-center cards!!
The lot consits of a total of 161 cards. No dups. With 342 in the set, that's almost 1/2 (47%). 148 cards are raw, and there are 13 graded cards. Raw cards are all commons, with the exception of a president and a few team cards.
The raw cards are EX to EX-NM. Same with the graded cards. You won't find very many wrinkles, creases, bent corners, stains, etc., if any. Absolutely no dogs. A good, soild start to a mid-grade set.
Enough of the hype. I have used the following to price the set. Here is where I put the graded cards.
clemente - 120
martin - 20
fox - 10
feller - 30
minoso - 20
robinson - 125
banks - 60
spahn - 50
koufax - 120
aaron - 120
bauer - 10
yankees - 110
killer - 50
These prices are just below or at current market. Just try and find them, this nice, for these prices.
As for the raw cards, ex-nm at a show will run $6-$8 if you're lucky. E-bay, typically around $5. So, I'll go $4.50. I really want to move this set soon.
So, total value of the graded cards: $845. Raw cards: $666. Total $1511.
The first $1500/shipped/insured offer takes it.
On to the scans. The raw cards were picked radomly, and are representative of the rest of the lot.
