  • Congrats! Mr. Feller was the first autograph I ever got in person. Way back in 1987 at the Fairhaven activities center. He was a genuine pleasure and generous with his time and conversation. One word: Classy!

    Happy Birthday Bob!

Happy birthday to Mr. Bob Feller, that is fantastic!!!!!!!! And that is so cool you know him! I gotta get his auto one day as he is special to me. He has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. My Grandfather will be 90 in Feb 09 and he was born in Akron, OH and lived in Cleveland until 1958 and he is still a big time Indians fan. Growing up my Grandfather used to always talk about Bob Feller and that he was one of a kind. Matter of fact, my mom still has a game program in mint condition from 50 or 51 I imagine. Anyway it's a game that had Whitey Ford against Bob Feller.

Please give Mr. Feller my best from me and my Grampa!

Met Mr. Feller at the L.A. Sports Collectors Show a couple years back. Class Act. Signed an autograph for me and actually stood up to shake my hand. Showed as much respect for me as I had for him - a true rarity in athletes these days. All the best wishes for a great 90th birthday.
  • Happy B-Day Feller.

I love this quote from your Museum website, "I still throw from the rubber, and I throw the ball as hard as I ever did--the ball just takes longer to get to home plate." Time may have slowed your body, but it has not effected your mind and heart. Thanks for all you have done for the sport and your personal involvement with your many fans, myself included.

Thanks for your service and thanks for many memories Mr. feller. I never had a chance to see you play in person but after hearing stories from my Dad, I feel like I was there watching you at Comiskey park on many hot summer afternoons.

Thank you again and look forward to meeting you some day.

Happy Birthday Mr. Feller. Your service to our country and to baseball will always be remembered.

My Dad's stories of watching you play made the 90 minute drive to and from Municipal Stadium fun and often more interesting
than the games I attended in the lean years of the late 60's and early 70's.
  • happy 90th!!! i am to young to ever have seen him play but from what i have heard he is one of a kind, so i wish him the very best and may he have many many more birthdays!!!

Happy Birthday Bob. It has always been a pleasure to say that I have met and talked with you. When I was a young boy in the 1970's you would come annually to Veterans Memorial Park in Little Falls, NY on Bob Feller night. One night you signed a picture for me and I never forgot that memory. A few years ago I took my son to the Tacoma Mall in the state of Washington and you were signing autographs at the card shop. We both went in and not only did you sign the ball for my son, you talked to us for about 10 minutes; everything from the war, Ted Williams and Walter Johnson. My son and I talk about you all the time. Thank you for your service to this great nation during times of war and thank you for the wonderful baseball history that you helped create. You are truly a class act. May you celebrate many more birthdays.

    Happy 90th Birthday Mr. Feller,

My father was a die-hard Yankee fan and he never really talked about any other players and their accomplishments if
    they weren't Yankees ....

but ... I'll never forget that on every opening day, my father would say "did you know that Bob Feller is the only pitcher to throw a complete game no-hitter on Opening Day?"

and I would say, "yes Dad ... on April 16, 1940!".

Well, as all fathers do, I now find myself reminding my sons on every opening day of your great historic complete game no-hitter!

God bless you and your family, Mr. Feller!

You are a true ballplayer, in it for the love of the game and not the money. One of these days I need to add your autograph to me collection.
