Wow. That's a lot of 1987 Topps. He must have really liked that set or something. I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to BUY this though.

I would give him $250 dlvd.
Someone who sets up at a lot of shows could probably give him a little more. According to the listing there is approx 40 sets, so if you sold em at $10 a set, you would make a little money + you would still have a few hundred of some of the stars.
