Opinions please...

Which do you think is more distracting to look at, an OC card (not bad enough to warrant a qualifier) or a centered card that has a tilt? Im thinking of purchasing a card I need but there is a tilt to it. There is also an OC version I could purchase.

    Hi Bob

    An oc card.

I actually purchased a card with a tilt and didn't realize it till I had it in hand.

On the other hand, I notice if something is oc every time.
  • Bob, I would have to see them, but personally I would choose the OC card.
  • They're both distracting, it depends on the card.

I'm OK with qualifiers, whatever one is nicer to look at, take that one.

Yeah, I agree with you guys. Tilts drive me crazy. Your eyes are relly drawn to the tilt. The card in question is a 1955 Clemente PSA 6. The 2 cards are BINs on ebay. I will try to get the 2 links posted.

    This

    or This

  • Every card is different. But when comparing the two, I would personally take the one with the tilt - and I do believe the O/C one is bad enough to warrant a qualifier

I'd take the one without the tilt myself...

Bob, just go with the one with the tilt.

Everytime you look at it, just turn your head a little to one side and the card looks fine image

In THIS case, I would prefer the OC card.

Some of its other nice attributes might have been discounted more by the centering.

Bob, I know how much stress you have put on centering in your 1955 set, and I don't think you would be happy with either of those cards. I also know you want to finally put this set to bed, but having the set's main card look like either of those examples will eat at you until you eventually swap it out for one wit better centering.

I should have also said, "I would not buy either one."

But, I understand how impatience works. It usually
tries to distinguish between bad and worse; most
always a distinction without a difference.

Hold out for a better example.

I concur. I don't mind the OC one, but the tilt is just aggravating.

I'd wait for a better example, however if you are going to purchase one of these two
the one that is OC is the one I'd buy.

    Good for you.

You're right Nick. It probably would eat away at me. I do want to finish it, but I suppose I should hold off. I dont know the last time I have seen a centered 6 up for sale.
Thanks for the input guys! Im gonna pass on both of them.
