What Grading Service Do You Use?

i have submitted cards to SGC, because i am collecting vintage.. but today i was curious about the 3 major companies.. SGC, PSA, BGS.

PSA has the highest price for the turn around time. BGS is the least expensive for the turn around time. SGC is in the middle.

SGC is good for vintage cards
BGS is good for modern rookies
PSA is good for set registry.

the above is the 3 main reasoons i can think of to use the respective companies.

that grading company do you use and why?

    anything after that...PSA

    From my experience, I really dont do a lot of pre 1960's stuff, although I recently had a sub with some 49 Leaf in it, so I really cant say anything accurate about SGC


    I use PSA now, because I have been totally turned off with a lot of things going on at BGS. Many years back, I saw BGS as superior to PSA, until too many trimmed cards started showing up in BGS holders (Trimmed and resubbed, not just trimmed). I think the early BGS card were actually better and more realistically graded than PSA as far as consistency goes, but too many people were turned off because of the tough grading, which gave birth to BCCG so people could get their "10", as well as a totally different grading technique which gave 9's and 10's to cards that used to grade out a full grade lower in many cases.

    I use strictly PSA now and with the monthly specials, the cost is really negligible unless you want to flip cards fast.

    GAI- FF collection (labels numerous versions)

    BGS- 2005 BDP Martin collection

    GEM- Oddball,undersized personal collection stuff other companies wont grade

    Only BGS.

    I refuse to pay $100 for the right to send them my business. The free grades do not help me, if they were more on a lower level it would be better. Best yet would be no membership fee!

    I use PRO myself. PSA always seems to catch me trimming my cards.
