1956 Roberto Clemente

I hope someone can answer this question for me. What's the difference between the Gray backs vs white backs in the 1956 Roberto Clemente. Is one harder to get then the other? Thanks Bobby

Topps printed this card using card stock that had a white back and card stock that had a gray back. The gray is supposed to be scarcer in the low series numbers but I have not seen any real price difference between the two types. PSA recently started making the notation on the flip of cards they grade.

    Bobby,

Jeff is correct, plus white backs, numbers 101-180, sell for approx 50% more than the Grey backs on average.

Thanks guys, If the gray is scarcer then why does the white backs sell more then the grays? I would think it's the other way around. Thanks again for the info.

Gray is scarcer for the low numbers, but white is scarcer for cards 101-180 resulting in the higher prices.
