Got a T3 Turkey Red Ty Cobb, or at least part of one :)

Picked this up last night. A severely trimmed T3 Turkey Red Ty Cobb, PSA graded AUTH. Cobb is my favorite player of all time and I used to have a fairly extensive Cobb collection that I sold years ago for a down payment on a house. I always have a soft spot for well loved Ty Cobb cards, so I picked this one up. It won't win any beauty pageants, but I like it's character image Just wanted to share.

    Mike,

    what a great card to have in any condition!

    for whatever reason, lower grade pre-war and/or
    tobacco cards, always entices that nostalgic essense
    of a card.

    Like an old, uncleaned coin ... wondering who it's past owners have been;
    or what part of the world it has traveled, etc.

    You just don't get the same feeling with a near mint grade.

    Of course, we both know that you'd get a whole different feeling if you had that card in a PSA 9 image

    Anyway, very nice pick-up!

    If he had that card in 9 he wouldnt need a down payment for a house...he would have the house!!

    Very nice Mike, I have been holding out for a decent (priced) authentic or Psa 1 for a while now. The eye appeal isnt all that bad!
  • Not bad, any one of those is nice.

    T3s are my favorite set - by FAR. Someday I will own one - a nice one, even. For now, I'll settle for my 2.5" x 3.5" reprint set, LOL.

    Love the Cobb.
