I'd check the weight, though. Something just doesn't look right.

This coin is trying to be a 1789 8 Reales from Mexico City mint. Is the weight under 26 grams?

I dont have a scale to get that weight of it. It was set aside from the other foreign coins that I received so I thought I would post it here to get some info on it. Does anyone have a pic of the "real deal" 8 Reales as opposed to my imposter?

You're right. I just looked at some others on there and they all look like the one I posted.
