I am currently in the process of putting together a PSA 9 / 10 1986 Fleer Basketball Set with Stickers. I really would like to include a PSA 9 1986 Unopened Wax Pack with my set to cap it off. I am trying to find information as to what I can expect to pay for this graded pack, but other than one currently for sale for $500.00 I can not seem to find anything. Can anyone give me some guidance on where I can A: either find this information, or B: Give me your thoughts on what I should expect to pay. Thanks in advance!

GAI 10 for $750 on 10/5
GAI 9 for $304 on 10/5
GAI 7.5 for 188 on 10/8
Edit: that seems to fall between a GAI 9 and a GAI 10 so it kind of makes sense...
I guess I can't really help then. Though I still would guess a PSA 9 would fall somewhere between a GAI 9 and a GAI 10.
My theory is the majority of them (30ish) were graded as part of a full box submittal and is part of a private collection, that is probably why you don't find many for sale.

<< <i>16 PSA 9 1986-87 Basketball Packs have sold between 12/02/2007 - 07/24/2008 for an average price of $291.52. Information from VCP. SMR books the pack at $350. $500 is too high.

Oh wow - nice info.
Yeah I was going to add that the number of PSA graded packs will just continue to grow. If you're unsure about price, I'd just wait it out - esp since your set is still building. No need to rush just because you saw one, you know?
I got sucked into unopened material once PSA starting grading them. I joined VCP almost a year ago almost exclusively because they started recording graded pack sales. When accessing the pack information, be careful with the average sale price they list, especially with cello packs. Any "star" packs are listed with "common" packs which can throw off the average price numbers. The prices range from $233 - $336.
I think Lee has good numbers with his $325 - $340 as the last pack sold for the $336 and the previous 2 at $300. For store inventory, $360 is certainly a good price.
