VCP help

Started looking into adding some of the newer sets to the site and need some input. From what I can see and with the research I have done there is about 4500 different sets just for baseball from 1990-1999 and over 6500 sets for 2000-2008 now do these all have to be in the site or can we pare this down to about 500 sets or so for each section. So if you can tell me which sets are the key ones so we can start working on getting it into the site.

    I am a pre-war guy so need a little help on the lingo what is SP?

    Bobby, why not just check some of the pop reports here at PSA. I probably wouldn't focus on certain sets, but certain cards within sets. Many modern sets have very few cards ever graded. Take 2005 hockey for instance, just about every Crosby and Ovechkin should be tracked and listed, but the other 100 cards in the sets have never been graded more than a couple times, if at all. Take the time, have someone just click each pop report and develop some kind of plan. You will probably end up with a few sets that need to be tracked, but more players that should be. Once it is set up it should ease the workload considerably.

    I agree. I'd just look at the Pop Reports and go by the sets with the most cards submitted since you only track graded cards anyway.

    SP's the brand name. It's owned by Upper Deck.

    SP is the brand that has Alex Rodriguez and Derrek Jeter's key rookie cards.

    ACTUALLY ALL BOWMAN CHROME SHOULD BE TRACKED

    1998 topps crusades are highly desired

    Actually, you would probably get A LOT of new business just by tracking ALL bowman chrome
    It is really all the prospectors go to, and you could really become VERY POPULAR just advertising on beckett that you have pricing on bowman chrome.
    That is what is the "NEW MARKET" for 99% of the rookies. Don't forget I told you so when your business eventually thrives...provided the countries economy dosn't collapse first (Grin).

    If you capture just bowman chrome and nothing else for 1995 to present, that would be enticing enough

    one last thing, when i say bowman chrome, i mean all flavors
    refractors
    xfractors
    international refractors
    base
    and any other flavor they can dream up....just get ALL BOWMAN CHROME 1995 to present
