Just received submission grades

Hey Guys, Just received my grades from PSA and was a little disappointed. I cracked two cases from BVG a 1960 Roberto Clemente BVG 6.5 and it received a 6 from PSA. A 1964 Roberto Clemente 6 BVG and received a 6 from PSA. I did send a crossover BVG 6.5 1963 Topps Clemente, but that is still being processed. I'm new to the boards. How often does PSA crossover grades in our favor?

The other grades I received were
1959 Topps Roberto Clemente PSA 4
1963 Fleer Roberto Clemente PSA 4
1968 Topps Roberto Clemente PSA 4
1966 Topps Jim Palmer PSA 5

Thanks
Bobby

Consider yourself LUCKY....I crossovered a GAI 8.5 that came back a 7, and a GAI 7 that came back a 5....even grades are a SUCCESS in my book!

    Welcome to the boards.

My opinion is to always send the card raw. You want their opinion, not their interpretation of another company's opinion.

  • Can you post scans? I'd love to see the '64 Clemente. Are you selling any of these?

What Ron said. Crossovers are for the PSA retirement fund. I honestly believe at this point they should man up and say that they accept only raw card submissions as the crossover thing is a hoax. This issue actually makes me mad. I've basically had no success with about 25 cards that were sent in for crossovers. I'm talking SGC 88's and 92's that were centered. PSA says minimum grade not met especially if it is a pricey card. They will cross cards like $40 or less in value if they are legit. image
  • Well I sent in a raw card which I broke out of another companies holder and it came back evidence of trim, and another card I just pulled from a pack came back with evidence of trim... oh well... will have to send them back again in the future.. when I get them back, I will scan to see if anyone else can see the trimming...

Leadoff4, I just got the e-mail stating my grades were ready for view. Once I receive them I will scan and post. I'm keeping the 6's, but will sell the Clemente 4's If you're interested LMK and thanks
