'71 Topps Thurman Munson... MISCUT... what should I do with it???

Alright, I knew this card looked off, but I figured what the heck and submitted it to see what PSA thought of it.
I'm glad to see it's not trimmed, but PSA would not slab it because it was deemed to be miscut.
I'm a tad confused though, because I thought MC was a qualifier still worthy of a grade... oh well.

Soo...I get it back, unslabbed of course. The miscut part is obviously the bottom edge. The chipping along the edge
is consistent, so I was confident it wasn't trimmed.

Now.... it's miscut, and in this case, it has too much cardboard. What do I do?

I could:

A.) Sell the card raw as is... just be honest when I sell it and take a beating on the card.

B.) I could clean up the card, and submit it to be slabbed "Authenticated/Trimmed."

C.) I could punch a hole through it and wear it around my neck like a backstage pass at the next show I do.

D.) Something else... but what?

If I'm going to keep it in my perm. collection, I'd rather it be slabbed in some form or another. Getting it slabbed 'authenticated' would be nice,
but I'm not sure "doctoring" this card is ethical.

What would you do????

I vote for selling raw on Ebay..... or you could get a 2nd opinion and submit it to SGC....

I've had cards returned for "miscut" because they weren't square so they wouldn't fit in the psa holder right.

If you want to sell it I might be interested for my raw 71 set.

If you like it and want to keep it, but have it slabbed, go with SGC and note that if it can't be graded you want it slabbed authentic. 71 cards look beautiful in SGC holders.

I took jimq112's advice... it shipped off to SGC late yesterday, and I did check the box to slab it authentic if they deem ungradable.
I have NEVER submitted to SGC before as I'm not much of a vintage collector. The process was very simple!

I will also admit, my submission was a 2-card sub... I HAD to throw in a token Chris Sabo card in there! Why not?

I'll post the results in 2+ weeks when I find out what they thought of the card.

MC means, in this case, that the card was either too small or too large, but had not been altered. I have a Morgan rookie that has been rejected twice-it is a hair too long.
